Todd's trail to vengeance takes him to Mrs. Lovett, the industrious proprietress of a failing pie shop above which he opens a new barbershop. Mrs. Lovett's fortunes change significantly when Todd's hunger for blood inspires the invention of a brand-new ingredient in her meat pies that has Londoners queuing up.
