What makes this show so interesting, then? Let us tell you! It is billed as one of the most amazing tales in musical history that have ever been told. You see, there is this evil judge who imprisons a London barber to Australia for a crime he did not commit because of his desire for the attractive wife of said barber.
The story becomes extremely intense when the man, who now calls himself Sweeney Todd, comes back after 15 years, picks up his old trade, and vows to exact revenge for his false imprisonment. His razor not only shaves, but also kills! That's right, you read that correctly: murder. Eventually, the bodies are hurled down to Mrs. Lovett, who uses them in her meat-pie shop and sells them to unwary Londoners.
Sweeney's thirst for blood will not be satisfied until he slits the judge's throat, even though many fall to his blade. This theater production is excellent in every way. You can count on this one to give you the time of your life thanks to a fantastic narrative and the most jaw dropping visuals and props on the planet, but sadly, like everything this brilliant, there is always a drawback: tickets are selling out quickly. Grab yours here and now before it's too late to avoid missing the show of this winter.
